A proper pub, built in 1863 when Chapel Market was re-developed as a shopping street. In close proximity of the Royal Agricultural Hall, built in 1861 for the Smithfield Club to exhibit livestock. The pub catered for livestock workers, travelling from the North to nearby Smithfield Market.

The pub keeps the history in mind, with sturdy and premium drinks menu. An independent wine list with a back bone of wine on tap. Cocktails, mocktails and specialty coffee. The beer range is solid.
